rebecca (!) storyteller
Rebecca has a habit.
She covers everything she finds with bra straps that she collects from the biggest lingerie houses. She thus transforms everyday objects into unique pieces, an invitation to daydream.
Whether in Paris, in Grenoble where she is from, in Saint-Étienne, in Courchevel or elsewhere, indoors or outdoors, you have definitely seen her work somewhere!
In 2017, she collaborated with Chantal Thomass and thus transformed the rue Saint Honoré boutique into a strange, beautiful and intriguing dream at the same time.

Fabulation or how to wrap the real...
I do a work of sculpture by wrapping objects with bra strap ribbons from unsold items from major lingerie brands.
The objects used, often forgotten, rejected, apart from taste, are familiar to us because they are archetypal or everyday. Wrapped, sheathed, costumed, bearers of a memory, they then come back to us, friendly and splendid .
This intimate ribbon allows me to give form, lose form, graft form... I sculpt but upside down, enveloping things. From precise to vague, exploring their outline, caring for them, fetishizing them...
I thus create works-cocoons, hybrids, showing their process of transformation. The ribbons are reminiscent of the mummy or the toddler, evoking the rites of passage of ancient times.
In an ecological approach to creation, I operate a triple recycling. Recycling of suspenders, recycling of objects, and recycling of desire.
Also, in front of this soft intimate material, we are all accomplices . The ribbon becomes the link between people, smirking.
Wrapping is a contamination that affects its audience in several ways: Installations / Works / Design / Residence in a hotel / Artist's objects / Participatory projects / Videos
